1. USE OF WEBSITE

This website (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Beacon Media-UK (“Beacon Media“, “we“, “us” or “our“).

These terms of use (the “Terms of Use”) (together with the documents referred to in them) set out the terms on which you may use our Site and any media players, streams, radio players or related services accessible via our Site or any Beacon Media applications (together, the “Services”), whether as a guest or a registered user.

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using our Site or Services. By accessing or using the Site or Services (on a computer, mobile device, smart speaker or otherwise), you confirm that you accept these Terms of Use and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use our Site or Services.

Please also read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we collect and use your personal data and cookies. These policies form part of these Terms of Use.

Additional terms may apply to specific services, features or promotions (the “Additional Terms”). Where applicable, these will be displayed at the point of access. If there is any conflict between these Terms of Use and any Additional Terms, the Additional Terms shall prevail.

Our Site may include interactive features such as comments or social sharing tools, sometimes provided by third‑party platforms (for example social media providers or discussion tools) (“Partners“).

When you use Partner services, you leave our Site and are subject to the Partner’s own terms and privacy policies. We do not control how Partners collect or use your personal data.

Any content you post using community features forms part of User Content and must comply with our Rules of Acceptable Use.


4. PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTIONS

Beacon Media may offer premium or subscription‑based services (“Paid Subscriptions“). Pricing, billing cycles, free trials and features will be clearly displayed at the point of purchase.

Paid Subscriptions may be purchased directly from us or via third‑party platforms such as app stores or payment providers. Where third‑party platforms are used, their terms and conditions will also apply.

Unless cancelled, subscriptions will renew automatically. You must cancel using the same method used to subscribe (for example via web or app store). Access to premium features will continue until the end of the current billing period.

Premium services may include ad‑free listening, additional content, exclusive features or on‑demand access. Sponsorships, promotions or competitions may still appear within premium services.


5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

All content on our Site and Services, including text, audio, video, images, software, branding, logos, designs and databases (the “Content”) is owned by or licensed to Beacon Media and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, scrape, reproduce or exploit any Content without our prior written consent, including for the purposes of training artificial intelligence or machine learning systems.

We grant you a limited, personal, non‑exclusive, non‑commercial, revocable licence to access and use the Site and Services for your own personal use only.


6. YOUR CONTENT

User Content” means any content you upload, submit or share via our Site or Services.

You retain ownership of your User Content, but by submitting it you grant Beacon Media a worldwide, royalty‑free, perpetual, irrevocable, non‑exclusive and sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute and display that content in any media, including for promotional purposes.

You warrant that:

  • you own or have permission to use the User Content;
  • it does not infringe third‑party rights;
  • it complies with these Terms of Use and applicable laws.

We reserve the right to remove or edit User Content at our discretion. We do not routinely monitor User Content.


7. RULES OF ACCEPTABLE USE

You must not:

  • use the Site or Services for unlawful purposes;
  • upload offensive, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory or misleading content;
  • impersonate others or misrepresent your identity;
  • upload malware, viruses or harmful code;
  • use the Site for commercial advertising or solicitation without permission;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.

8. COMPETITIONS

Competitions and promotions are subject to additional terms and conditions, which will be provided at the point of entry and form part of these Terms of Use.


9. LINKING TO OUR SITE

You may link to our Site provided the link does not imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation and complies with these Terms. Framing or embedding our Content without permission is prohibited.


10. THIRD‑PARTY LINKS

Our Site may contain links to third‑party websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or policies. Accessing third‑party sites is at your own risk.


11. COMPLAINTS AND TAKEDOWNS

If you wish to report unlawful content, copyright infringement or submit a complaint, please email legal@beaconmedia.uk or dataprotection@beaconmedia.uk with full details.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts where necessary.


12. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site or Services at any time if you breach these Terms. User Content may remain available after account termination.


13. DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY

Our Site and Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beacon Media excludes liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These Terms of Use are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
